Bill and Clara Cash are two amazing people who have been married for 60 years now. They have raised two wonderful daughters: Mary Beckman and Marcia LaMarche III. They have five grand childern: Autumn Beckman (30), Anessa Swonke (30), Ashley Mangrum (23), Emily Lloyd (23), and Adam Swonke (22). They also have three great-grandchildren: Hunter McClelland (10), Cody McClelland (8), and Mylanah Mangram (3).
The couple have been through so much within the past 60 years, and have helped so many people out. The children and grandchildren could only think of one way to repay the couple for all the love they have shared with the world...by hosting a huge 60th wedding anniversary. At first the couple was hesitant, but soon their attitudes changed. They wanted to be involved in every aspect, but the children and grandchildren wanted everything to be a surprise and mostly a stress free day.
The only planning the couple was allowed in on was guest attendance and food. The grandkids were first thinking about hosting a small 50 person party with close friends and family members, but soon enough, Bill's guest list grew to over 300! At first the grandchildren planned to host the party at a home, but with 300 guests on the invite list, there was no way all would fit. Luckily Bill worked at AT&T for many years, and is now apart of the Pioneers Club. With that, the Pioneer's Club has a hall within the AT&T Building in the Heights area in Houston, TX for which was available to our use.
